The Game Developers Conference is taking things to the next level for attendees joining from around the world, partnering with Eventuall and StageConnect to deliver an exceptional hybrid experience through GDC Virtual Stage.
Starting Tuesday, you can check out the GDC Virtual Stage by clicking the Main Stage button on the Swapcard homepage. The GDC Virtual Stage boasts a new level of engagement for virtual attendees joining the in-person GDC event, taking place March 21-25 in San Francisco.
The Main Stage presentation on the "Developer's Renaissance," happening Wednesday, March 23 at 12:30pm PT, will feature even more interaction thanks to Eventuall's immersive virtual venue. Attendees will get to join a first-of-its-kind 3D theater where they control how they view the show and chat with fellow online watchers.
Remote attendees across the globe can mingle with their in-person colleagues by appearing onscreen in an interactive video powered by Stageconnect. And afterward, GDC participants can revisit the keynote session on-demand in Eventuall’s Virtual Venue.
“The game development community has always combined technical innovation with awesome user experiences. With Eventuall we have a similar aim, to bring cutting-edge tech that genuinely connects both virtual and on-site attendees." Eventuall founder and CEO Scott Addison Clay said. "Our goal is to make this the first truly global hybrid GDC.”
“There is nowhere more appropriate to launch one of the world's first hybrid global conferences than the Game Developers Conference. We are excited to set the standard with GDC and what’s to come in subsequent years,” Cole Morgan, StageConnect founder and CEO, said.
In addition, virtual networking gets even better with Eventuall’s dedicated Networking Room. Anyone on a computer at home or on-site can seamlessly move from one interest group to the next or form new circles to discuss what’s ticking at GDC via video conversation. Be sure to join our virtual networking events, happening Tuesday through Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00am PT. To join, click the “Event Agenda” button in Swapcard, locate the session listing, and click the link in the session. All GDC pass holders are welcome!
