Pitch your game in front of a live audience: No pressure! The Game Developers Conference is excited to announce the judges for GDC Pitch, the popular game pitch-off coming to GDC 2023.
GDC Pitch is a special event designed to help select participants practice their game-pitching skills. Five studios will solicit their games to an opinionated panel of investors and publishers—followed by questions, advice, and feedback. Then, the judges will declare the day's "Best Pitch" and award two free GDC 2024 All Access passes.
Here's the list of industry experts who have signed up to help judge GDC Pitch for 2023:
Day 1: March 22
Rebekah Saltsman (CEO & Co-Founder, Finji)
Anlu Liu (Business Manager, Kowloon Nights)
Stefan Metaxa (Business Development Manager, Maximum Games & Modus Games)
Day 2: March 23
Justin Woodward (Founder, Media Indie Exchange)
Becky Sayers (Head of Content Strategy, Humble)
Bobby Wertheim (VP of Partnerships, Curve Games)
Participants are selected from GDC Play, an interactive showcase for innovative projects from emerging and independent game makers. If your studio is interested in joining GDC Pitch, inquire about GDC Play here.
GDC Pitch will once again be hosted by funding advisor Jason Della Rocca, and takes place during GDC 2023 at the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco. Each year, the theater fills to capacity, as the developers compete for the judges' praise.
