The players have spoken: OK JOY has won the Play Audience Award at the 2022 Game Developers Conference!
GDC Play showcases a number of unique and fascinating video games that show off the future of the industry.
This year, attendees were asked to select their favorite through the GDC Play Exhibitors virtual booth on Swapcard, and the winner was OK JOY for their upcoming game The Heroes Around Me. It tells the story of a family of three: The hard-working and quiet father named Nan, his daughter Lili, and their pet dog Sesame. Players will experience the harshness and warmth in the simpler time of the 1990s, where lots of stories are untold.
The Heroes Around Me joins the eight games selected as "Best in Play" by our panel of Game Developer editors to win an All-Access Pass to 2023. Attendees are welcome to view the full list of GDC Play nominees on the GDC website and watch their game trailers on the GDC Play Exhibitors virtual booth through Swapcard.
