Skydance Interactive's survival VR horror game, The Walking Dead: Saints & Sinners has been revered for providing a deep and immersive gameplay experience while staying true to its popular comic book origins. Praised for its visceral, physics-based combat, original storyline and deep crafting system, the game became a global top seller for PC VR, PSVR and most recently, Oculus Quest platform, surpassing more than $30 million in revenue in the past year.
In this discussion, Skydance Interactive will offer insight on creating an innovative VR gameplay experience and the challenges of working in a market that is still relatively nascent. They will also speak to their experiences working with Skybound Entertainment to create a compelling, original story set in The Walking Dead universe, bringing a comic book franchise to new life in VR and how the team is working to deliver even more great content for their best selling VR game.
This talk will offer specific insight on how Skydance Interactive worked to develop a deep VR gameplay experience while building upon the popular The Walking Dead IP to offer players a tactile and personal way to experience the world.
