Matt has been developing video games professionally for over 15 years, having worked on genres ranging from sports titles to air combat games, and various AAA action-adventure games. Although his current focus is across all aspects of gameplay and AI, he has an extensive background in network programming and gameplay replication in multiplayer games. He's written low-level socket code more times than he can recount, but one of his main focus as a programmer has often been on making gameplay features work in a network-friendly way, improving dead reckoning, and dealing with all the complex corner cases that inevitably ensue in online environments.
